Our Mission

Enhancing, restoring and preserving the waters of Hutchinson as treasured natural resources through collaboration and diverse community involvement.

Key Goals/Objectives

How Will We Operate?

Hutchinson Waters is a membership-based organization of individuals bound together by common interests and goals. As a private group, we strive to work in partnership with others who have similar interests and goals that will result in the betterment of the social, economic, and environmental health of the waters of Hutchinson. The group currently operates with a Charter Steering Committee empowered to develop the organization, build the membership, and set the initial mission and goals. They will also identify key priorities to achieve the goals, using the feedback from the community meeting and input of other interested stakeholders. Once the membership base has been expanded, voting members will select a central Advisory Committee who will be responsible for the vision, mission, general oversight, and governance. These leaders will have the capacity and interest in building on existing and encouraging new relationship so that Hutchinson Waters can fulfill its purpose and achieve its mission through collaboration and inclusiveness.

By organizing ourselves as a strong membership-based group, we can develop significant short and long-term projects and programs that will contribute to the betterment of our greatest natural resources, as well as offer the group more credibility and influence than any one individual. Together, we can make a difference!
